dailies

you brought a water hose to a knife fight

you remember the title of a book deaths & entrances

by a well-loved poet

when the end is always death

why ask

the hole in your head is about the size

of your imagination

about the size of the economy

I think that first line is a beauty. It makes me think that it could be rich to write a list poem with it being the first line. All other lines following a similar pattern:

I (you, whoever) brought a ___ to a
___.

But that's just my thought.
