this could be a poem

the air was clear with a few big clouds hovering on the walk home at a little past 6:00 pm / i was thinking of dinner when i looked up / and i saw it / the biggest freaking meteor i've ever seen / a fireball with a trail of flame / arcing to the ground / it was probably miles and miles away / but it seemed to be just above me / and when it was out of sight / i swear i thought i'd hear / the concussion / from impact

jean: just looked for any mention on the web and nothing. nor was there anything on the local news. tho i told anna that meteors are pretty common, she said not when they are that big.

maybe i'm losing my mind. no one else was gaping at the sky that i could see. but i was. and man, that thing was huge!

hmm. this reminds me of the trip i took across Area 51 (also known as Dreamland), a few years back. The night we spent in the "trailer hotel" behind the bar in Rachel, NV. heehee. I don't have a silver alien doll hanging from my rear view mirror for nothing... ; ))
